One night Tristan was building a train with all of the toys with wheels, meaning he lined up his bike, his big dumptruck and the little wagon that usually holds the blocks. He was getting upset that when he got on his bike and went forward, none of the other “train cars” followed. So, we found some bungy cords and helped him make a proper train. Ultimately the dumptruck couldn’t easily be strapped to anything and the baby ride-on toy took its place. Genevieve was still pretty wobbly with her sitting abilities but Tristan wanted her to ride on the train so we put her in the little wagon and she did great and had a lot of fun. Aunt Nae Nae was also convinced to ride the train and Tristan was not going to be fooled. She tried to just kind of squat and hover over the ride-on toy, but he wanted her to turn around and ride the toy the correct way – so she did. What a sport! At the end of the evening, Tristan ended up putting his screwdriver into the little wagon and tucking it in for bedtime. I guess we were talking too loudly because he had to tell us, “Shhh! Screwdriver is sleeping!”
