Patience

We are trying to teach Tristan to be patient in a variety of different settings. Many times it seems that these lessons fall on deaf ears, or atleast the ears of a two year old... This particular day we were trying to get out the door to be somewhere. James and I were scrambling to gather everything we needed, load the diaper bag, get Genevieve in her carseat, etc. and through all the hustle and bustle I noticed this. I was keeping my eye on him to make sure he didn't actually walk outside to the front yard without one of us and I noticed how he was sitting so nicely, seemingly taking in the fresh air of this sunny day. It made me smile so I decided to capture the moment and learn a lesson from Tristan - slow down once in a while and smell the roses.
