Cousin Ashley spent the night lastnight and we woke up to such beautiful weather, we just had to go outside and play in the leaves! We started the morning outside in our pj's and built some leaf castles (related to sand castles), complete with flags flying high. Eventually we transitioned into play clothes after a big breakfast made by Daddy. At that point it was time to get serious about our leaf play and the entire front yard was raked/swept. Everyone needed a 'tool' so some of the leaf gathering items were more creative than others. We ended up with quite a pile of leaves - big enough to cushion even the adult bottoms after running and jumping in!
Genevieve didn't think it was as much fun. She was interested in eating the leaves, but we kept taking them away from her - we're so cruel.
