7 months old!

Genevieve was 7 months old on December 1st. I think it was about 85 degrees outside, but I really wanted to put this super soft and cuddly outfit on her. It's December, it's supposed to be at least a little chilly; but not in Austin, not yet anyway. We pretended we needed to bundle up for the sake of the pictures.

Currently she's the elusive butt-scoocher. You put her down and turn away and she ends up in a different spot, still sitting in the upright position. We haven't actually seen her move, but she obviously does. We did catch her stuck on all fours once and she took one crawl "step" but then she decided she was stuck and couldn't change positions without being rescued. It won't be long before we have to get the baby gates out again!

It was time later that evening to model the Jackopierce onesie that our good friend Kelley got for us. Kelley and her husband had the pleasure of going to a Jackopierce concert and knew that that was one of my favorite bands in college. So, aside from the "yay, we're pregnant" gifts that James got me on the day we found out we were expecting, this onesie was the first baby gift that we received for our second little one. It was fun to get such a cool gift in the mail while I was pregnant. Thanks Kelley!

I also included a couple of sneak peek holiday shots. Genevieve and I were going to an infant playgroup where the moms were going to make ornaments with our babies' pictures. Well, we didn't have any holiday-type pictures yet. So, after getting Tristan off to school, I dressed Genevieve up, got a couple of shots and sent them off to Walgreens (yay, I love one-hour photos). We picked them up on our way to the get together and ended up with our first picture ornament. Genevieve actually got two, one for the fridge and one for the tree - mainly because I forgot to leave space to punch a hole for the ribbon! Look at the kids' first holiday crafts together - Tristan's is circa 2006 and was fancier because his crafty teachers had a hand in it. Mommy made Genevieve's though so maybe that evens out the coolness???
