Every year the Texas A&M/University of Texas football game is Thanksgiving weekend. The game was in Austin this year and the football festivities started in the morning as the Texas A&M Aggie Band marched down Congress Avenue. We got everybody dressed in their Aggie gear and picked up cousins Ashley and Andrew and headed down to the parade. Ashley wore her longhorn gear and represented the rest of the Downing/Franco group. Since I'm the lone Aggie of the family and my kids are still so young, I get to dress them and they are on my team for the day. My husband was extra nice this morning and wore an Aggie shirt even though he changed his clothes and his loyalty for the actual game... Seeing the band, the Corps of Cadets, the horses, all of it; it's always so much fun and now we get the added bonus of watching Tristan get so excited about it.
After the parade it was back home for naptime and then on to Gran and Grampie's house for our Thanksgiving meal.
