Every morning when Tristan wakes up, he calls for me and I go get him. We change into school clothes, brush teeth, and he eats breakfast while I make his lunch. When we're all ready to go, we go into the office and tell Daddy we're ready. When James gets to a good stopping point with work, he takes Tristan to school. At the door, we give hugs and kisses and I always tell Tristan to have fun at school.
Well, Genevieve has been teething so I've been up in the middle of the night more than normal, and consequently, I'm still very tired when Tristan is ready to start his day. James has gone to get Tristan up and get him ready for school for two days in a row. Yesterday, I was still in bed and James brought Tristan up to me to get kisses and hugs. Today, was the same except that we did our kisses and hugs and then Tristan told me, "I have fun at school, Mommy. Bye, bye" and he ran off down the stairs and out the door.
I love the little unexpected comments that kids make and little fun things they do, so I thought I'd share. It's also nice to know that he's listening to me!
