P B K

I must have an awesome eye for decorating rooms, because even Pottery Barn Kids had to re-create a room in our house, and put it in a magazine! I came up with this design and James and I worked hard to bring the vision to life, almost four years before this publication ever came out; so I know I'm the original visionary in this case. Then, I made James help me re-create the time-consuming and complicated paint job in a new house (Thanks, Honey), about eight months later.

Not that I hold the license for painting polka-dots on walls, but even the color scheme is the same. The PBK room is for girls and Tristan's room was originally designed to be a gender-neutral nursery. I'm not saying that PB was scanning the internet and found my cute room and copied it, but I am a bit excited that something that I previously did, made it into a magazine with a large viewing audience. And, I love many of the rooms in their glossy advertisements. Oh, to have the perfect living or dining area, furnished by Pottery Barn, but I digress. Anyway, yay me!

Do you see the resemblance?

Okay, only one photo was necessary, but I decided to show off Tristan's room again because I love it!

No, we're not still using the dresser as a changing table. Thank goodness. This picture was taken about a year ago.

And a close-up, just for fun.
