The Austin Zoo is a rescue zoo and as such, it's smaller than what you would imagine. But, the facility is really nice, considering it's mostly supported through donations and volunteerism. Tristan's class was taking a field trip to the zoo and Genevieve and I tagged along for the fun. They have a little train that goes around the grounds and that was a big hit with the kids. I admit, I enjoy a nice train ride on a beautiful day too! After a picnic lunch and a visit with a few more animals, it was time to go. It seems I couldn't get them into their carseats fast enough because .o2 seconds later, they were both snoozing away.
