We celebrated James’ birthday with a dinner at his parents’ house and since Tristan had recently celebrated his own birthday, he was very familiar with blowing out the candles on the cake, or in this case, the apple pie. Tristan had to have a turn blowing out Daddy’s candles too.

First live music and Daddy's Birthday
Genevieve’s first live music experience was at Freddie’s on South First, watching Daddy lead Six Sons of a Gun on stage. “Uncle” Widgeon was in town from his current home in Lanzarote, a Spanish colony off the northern coast of Africa, or part of the Canary Islands. Widgeon joined the band on stage for an added bit of musical fun. We don’t get to see Widgeon very often due to his worldly travels, but somehow he always seems to catch some of our major milestones. He was able to attend our wedding, he got to meet both of the kids at very young ages and actually happened to be in town when Genevieve was born and he also caught Tristan’s first couple of real steps!
