I also have to add that Tristan made a couple of big strides in the potty training department this week. I think it was partially a ploy to pull some attention away from the new baby, but he was productive every time he said he had to go so I really never had the chance to call his bluff. I was skeptical at first since every time he needed to go potty just happened to coincide with the baby waking up and needing to be fed and Tristan and mommy’s special time coming to an end for a while. It is really difficult to run after a toddler and one-handedly try to help him get his pants off while trying not to drop a nursing baby with the other arm, especially when you still aren’t feeling 100%. There were a lot of “yay, potty” celebrations though and that helped make it worthwhile, although I was still wishing James was around with that extra set of hands.

Daaaddyyy!
So, James went back to work – to a new job and a new schedule – and Tristan (let’s be honest, WE) had a hard time adjusting to life during the day without Daddy. He was completely crazy one day and ended up hiding behind the couch crying “Daaaddyyy, Daaaddyyy!” I wanted to do the same thing, but I grabbed the camera instead and emailed James the picture of the craziness happening at home in the attempt to get him to come home and rescue us! It didn’t work, but we got a funny picture out of the experience. Enjoy!
