Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday 2009 started early for us and we got all gussied up for church. A few moments before walking out the door, we showed the kids the goodies that had been left for them. Although most items were healthy or books/activity-driven toys, there were a few pieces of candy thrown in there for Tristan. Tristan found one and looked especially guilty when I caught him. I'm so glad I had the camera in that moment! Tristan also got a toothbrush in his basket, which was a tradition in the LaBrecque household. Genevieve, well, she doesn't have many teeth and I still pretty much just massage her gums with my finger. Though she'll get a toothbrush soon, she won't start receiving them in her Easter basket until next year. She got a couple of sippy cups instead. Getting a basket to eat, more than made up for the lack of any candy or other items, if you ask her.

Arriving just in time for a downpour in the parking lot, we made it to the sanctuary without melting (I guess we're just not that sweet). It was a lovely service at church and the kiddos obliged us with their best behavior. It helped that Ashley and Andrew were there to help entertain them and keep them happy and quiet.

After church we went to Gran and Grampie's house for a family lunch and the annual Easter egg hunt where even the adults get to participate! The weather really turned out nice after the morning showers!

Tristan pushes Maddy in the swing. What a good cousin!

Aha! An egg! From the hanging basket, straight into my Easter basket! Thanks for the help, Grampie!

Looking through the loot with Gran!

The boys, looking a little tired from all of the activity.
